Retreating

Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry’s Camp Vermilion is accessible all year long. Conveniently located on Lake Vermilion and just south of the Echo Trail in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Camp Vermilion is the perfect place to plan your next adventure. Whether you want to fish, quilt, cross country ski, snowmobile or simply spend time in God’s great northwoods, Camp Vermilion is the place to be!

Housing – Occupancy of 36 in winter and 66 in summer.
Bakk House Retreat Center has 3 rooms with 8 beds and 3 rooms with 4 beds. There are bathrooms and showers in the building. Meeting space with a fireplace is also located in the building. The in-house kitchen allows you to cook your own meals or have a VLM staff cook them for you. Holds 36 total.
Priest House has 2 rooms with 6 beds with nearby outhouse and sauna. Holds 12 total.
3 Lakeside Cabins have 18 beds total with nearby outhouse and sauna.
Activities-
Saunas, basketball, volleyball, swimming, fishing, canoeing, hiking trails
Bring cross country skis, snowshoes, snow mobiles, and ice fishing gear to access great trails and fishing opporutnities in the winter.
